Meet the founder (Bo Y. Kim)
The question was ; Why spend fortune when you can pull off with a few bucks (or few quid)?
Despite that Bo was trained to be a lawyer, her passion towards fashion led her into fashion. In the beginning, she started running a small online store at her own bedroom alongside her study, and became a ‘powerseller’ on auction from 2003~2005 (Korean ebay company). Having worked as an intern at buying office in Harvey Nichols London, a coordinator and a colorist at Seshin Apparel, and an assistant buyer at Hanstyle Seoul, she experienced various sectors and cultures in fashion, from manufacture to sales, and from value market as Old Navy to top prestige brand like Balmain. To Bo, the question was ‘why more people cannot appreciate the latest fashion at affordable price’. With her experience and knowledge, she launched STORETS to quench people’s thirst for fashion. No sweat factories
We are highly against using sweat factories. Products at storets are made or designed by Korean independent designers. Most of products are made by legitimate adult workers in Korea and some are imported from ‘no sweat factories.’ This often causes short of stock or delay in restocking, however, we believe this is our little help to improve children’s future. If you see a suspicious product that may be made in sweat factories while you are browsing storets, please do not hesitate to report it to our customer service, we will examine the production line.
